The family meets to eat together. It is a very joyful night.
The meal consists of different plates. Usually, one starts with seafood, and then continues with fish (sea bream, elver, bass
) or meat (lamb, kid, sucking pig
), which are served with Catalan Champaign, which is the equivalent to the French Champaign, but better.
Finally, the Christmas dinner is finished with nougat, almond, nuts, hazelnuts, raisins, and a lot of dried fruit with Champaign. |

This is a special day for the children. In the evening of 5 February the procession of the Three Wise Men starts in every Spanish city.
The Three Kings bring toys to all children. The children are used to put their shoes on the balcony or on the windowsill, where the Three Wise Men leave the toys. The next day all children leave their houses to go on the street with their presents. |
