Official Exams: D.E.L.E. Preparation

The Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) are the official accreditation of the degree of fluency of the Spanish Language, issued and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain and they are awarded by the Institute Cervantes in name of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain. These degrees enjoy a great reputation in the world of business.

The University of Salamanca collaborates with the Cervantes Institute in the elaboration of the examinations and in the evaluation of the tests.

Abanico Spanish language School offers a preparation course of the DELE examination.

D.E.L.E. is divided into 3 levels:

• • The Diploma of Spanish (Initial level) credits the linguistic ability to understand and to react adequately to the most habitual situations of the daily life and to communicate desires and needs of basic form.

• • The Diploma of Spanish (Intermediate level) credits the linguistic ability to cope with current situations of the daily life, in normal circumstances of communication that do not need a specializing use of the language.

• • The Diploma of Spanish (Superior level) credits the linguistic ability to cope with situations that need a high use of the language and a knowledge of the cultural habits.

Structure of the D.E.L.E. exam:

The exam consists of five tests. Each of them includes different exercises. The grade "no apto" (unsatisfactory) in one of the sections will imply the candidate's failure in the entire exam. All parts should be retaken at a future date.

Information about the DELE exam course:

• Minimum duration: 2 weeks
• Required level: high and superior
• Participants: maximum of 10 students and minimum of 3 students per class.
• Hours a day: 4 hours
